Smith Rock Climbing School

Smith Rock Climbing School is a division of Timberline Mountain Guides company that focuses primarily on rock climbing at Smith Rock State Park in Central Oregon. As a new venture there was not an established identity so we were literally starting from the beginning. A logo was needed first. It was communicated that a representation of the State Park where the climbing takes place was the initial starting point. I began with sketches of the silhouette of Smith Rock, incorporated the famous Central Oregon sunshine, and the Crooked River that is responsible for creating the rock outcropping.
